Thanks to the generous people at the Framingham Education Foundation, Opal students have begun working on a solar car project. Not only are they learning about the "Design Process" but they are also learning about the most abundant renewable resource...the SUN! Hello Opal Parents,
You are cordially invited to Opal United's presentation of learning, which will take place on January 13th at 12:45 - 1:35. Your children will be located in the 6th grade hallway classrooms towards the back of the school. Some students will be presenting the "Create your own country" project in Mrs. Mac's and Ms. Dunne's room, while another group of students will be presenting their progress on the "Earthquake Resistant Towers" in Mr. Keady's classroom. We understand that the timing of this event in the middle of the day is not ideal for working parents, but if you can make it the kids would be so excited...or very embarassed. Either way it will be a fun day!!! Thanks again for all the work you guys do every night with our students. Regards, Opal United Team Teachers Opal United earned their 2nd team reward for excellent behavior and improvement with coming to class prepared and being on time. They celebrated with a Reading Marathon!
Dear Mr. Keady,
Thank you for running our curriculum in your classroom last week. We learned a lot from the experience and will be able to incorporate both your feedback and what we observed into the next iteration of our curriculum and manufacturing. We appreciate the time that you put into preparing for the lesson and taking time out of the busy schedule to fit our lesson in. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and we look forward to staying in touch. Enjoy the holiday!
